Overview

Remote Mapper allows a Mac to be controlled by other devices over the local network. It is mainly targeted as an home theatre application.

It listens to codes send by devices on your network and execute series of actions defined for them. It was originally created to allow control of a Mac by iRule. It could also be used from a web browser or any application that could send http get requests.

Remote Mapper comes pre-loaded with standard codes defined for the most popular Mac applications, including iTunes, DVD Player and Plex. iRule users will find a device matching these codes in iRuleBuilder.
